Seriana Ritani is the Themiscyran watch mistress and official Ambassador. She stands about 5'6", has long auburn hair that turns red in the sunlight, and is blue-eyed. She generally wears pants with long-sleeved shirts, breaking the Amazonian custom of wearing a bare stomach as a sign of courage; but no one who knows her calls her a coward.

Seriana (Seri, to her friends) was born to Ritani of K'tai by the god Ares. After her mother's death, she worked as an inn slave in her home village until rescued by Xena at the age of fifteen. Her time with the Warrior Princess uncovered the talents given to her by Ares' line, and her estranged father claimed her soon thereafter as his own. She served him for twelve months, then escaped to the Amazons where she has lived ever since.

Between the teachings of her father and Jadea, her aunt and mentor, she became competent in the use of her awesome powers. However, fearing that Ares' blood could never do good, she later rejected her father, power, and family. Seri's only kin now are her Amazon sisters.

Despite her turbulent history, Seri is a calm and sensible young woman, fond of laughing and silence. She is sometimes solitary, and always slow to lose her temper. Seriana is fiercely wary of men and protective of the tribal lands. She has passable skill with the broadsword, longbow, and throwing daggers, and wears the mask of the Silver Hawk, her totem animal and her title of honor.

Seriana has gone on a nok'tana to assist her friend Autolycus in a mysterious and clandestine affair. She rides Denius, a black war stallion.
